Each of the rides contain 1; Starting point, 2; Merging & Stopover points, and 3; a fix Destination of the ride; thereafter GPS co-ordinates are provided to the participants accordingly! Short rides within 500 kilometers round-trip do not run in convoy pattern, as we consider those as the joyrides & practice rides for the beginners as well as experienced riders; such short rides often prove helpful in developing skills for long rides for the beginners; as we as acting as a tapering effect to those who have just returned from a long ride!
The long rides run in the limit of convoy; overtaking the "nosewheel" and falling behind the "tail-dagger" is forbidden! A convoy of minimum 6 riders is considered to be ideal for long rides (500 kilometers and more) so as to have a division of responsibilities along the ride.
Usually, a convoy for long rides consists of basic 6 riders and 1 backup vehicle; we have decorated them with special tags and colour codes of VIBGYOR, the (V) Nose Wheel - Leads the Convoy, a (I) Quick Bite - Carries Snacks & Refreshments, the (B) Wing Man - Survilliance, a (G) Tech & Comm - Shines in the Dark, Followed by a (Y) First Aid - Acts in Need, and finally the (O) Tail Dagger - Retains the Convoy; the (R) Backup Vehicle follows the convoy and/or pulls and halts at predesignated Merging & Stopover points along the rides.
Participants may choose their positions in the convoy as per their choices and their capabilities, perhaps need of time; or the participants may switch their positions on temporary basis just to circumvent the monotony.
The Convoy follows 3 patterns; 1 is riding in 'Open Formation' - 1 rider following the other rider covering longer distance especially during during daytime; 2 is riding in 'Close Formation' - 1 rider following the mirrors & the lights of the other rider covering shorter distance especially during nighttime; and 3 is the 'Infiltration Formation' - riders riding annonymously to pass a terrain or territtory irrespective of day or night!
Riding under any influence such as alcohol or narcotics, road rage, racing spirit, etc is not tolerated in the convoy, and doing so may attract expulsion!
